8 Records That Lewis Hamilton Can Break ! Records That Lewis Hamilton Can Break !

At the Hungarian GP, Sebastian Vettel denied Lewis Hamilton the chance to equal the Legend Michael Schumacher’s record of the most pole positions. But the season is long and Hamilton will look forward to break not just that record but a few more as well.

As Formula One goes into their summer break and F1 fans go into hibernation, lets take a look at some of the records that Hamilton can break.

1. Most Career Pole Positions

In the all-time record for the most number of pole positions, Lewis Hamilton sits in 2nd in the charts. The triple world champion is just 1 behind 7-time world champion Michael Schumacher, while he is 2 ahead of the late Ayrton Senna. Schumacher has 68 poles to his name, not including the 2012 Monaco GP where he got pole but was given a 5-place grid penalty.

2. Most Consecutive Seasons With A Grand Prix Win

Another record dominated by ‘The Red Baron’ Schumacher, the German has recorded a win in 15 seasons from 1992-2006. Hamilton is 2nd with a record of a Grand Prix win in 11 consecutive seasons. At the age of 32, Hamilton still has an opportunity to equal or even beat Schumacher’s record.

3. Most Number of Podium Finishes

Out of 308 starts, Ferrari legend, Michael Schumacher has achieved 155 podiums while Lewis has achieved 110 podiums from 199 starts. This means that Lewis is only 45 podiums behind Schumacher. With age and a quick and competitive car on Hamilton’s side, it is possible for Lewis to depose Michael.

4. Pole to Victory

Hamilton currently lies 2nd in the all-time list of races won from pole position. Michael Schumacher has won a total of 40 races from pole, while Lewis has won 36 races from pole position. With 9 races left this season, it gives him ample time to achieve this feat.
