Lewis Hamilton – Nico Rosberg relationship has always been in news for some bad reasons as both of the drivers are regarded as finest & bitter rivals during their time in Formula One together.
Even though they were team-mates at Mercedes, but were often involved in clash and in a public war of words. After Rosberg’s shocking retirement in 2016, things seem to have calmed down a little but the story was not so smooth.
World Champion Lewis Hamilton has done pretty well in the circuit in his former teammate’s absence. The 32-year old has claimed that he is least interested to invest any energy or patch up the things with German. Hamilton said,”I last talked to Nico in Japan. But I do not invest any energy in changing our relationship.”
In October, Mercedes chairman Niki Lauda also had his views on Hamilton-Rosberg relationship as The Austrian said, “They had no relation, which is always bad. They were so bad that they didn’t even say hello in the morning. I don’t expect them to have breakfast together if they don’t like each other, I don’t expect them to sit down and have breakfast, but the relationship was really bad. It affected Lewis mainly and Nico [as well], so it was fine but not easy.”
Meanwhile, Rosberg also claimed that Hamilton will hang up his boots & retire from the F1 circuit soon. Nico said, “He has hinted this year that he doesn’t want to spend so much time travelling. He wouldn’t do that if he wasn’t thinking of it at least a little”.
As of now, Hamilton is all set to carry his momentum & retain the title for Mercedes AMG F1 in 2018. He will surely have a stiff competition from teammate Valtteri Bottas, Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo.
