Deaflympics (previously called World Games for the Deaf, and International Games for the Deaf) are an International Olympic Committee (IOC)-sanctioned event at which deaf athletes compete at an elite level. Unlike the athletes in other IOC-sanctioned events (the Olympics, the Paralympics, and the Special Olympics), the Deaflympians cannot be guided by sounds (e.g., the starter’s guns, bullhorn commands or referee whistles)

Wrestling- 1 Gold 2 Bronze
Virender Singh, known as “Goonga Pehlwan” clinched Gold Medal in 74 kg freestyle wrestling, defeating Shakro Chakvetadze of Georgia in the final, routing his opponent 18-9 eventually before busking in glory. Two Bronze Medal comes from Ajay Kumar in 65 kg Freestyle and Sumit Dahiya in 97 kg Freestyle .
Virender Singh has won 4 medals straight in 4 consecutive Deaflympics. 3 of them are Gold Medals .Virender won India’s first and only gold medal at the 2005 Deaflympics in Melbourne . The other 2 Deaflympics medals came in form of a Bronze in 2009 Taiwan and another Gold in 2013 Bulgaria.
Diksha Dagar create history by becoming First ever Deaflympics medalist in golf . She Lost To YOST Kaylin OF USA in Final After a Tense 19 Round Match . Kaylin Yost Is 1 up after 19 hole . Earlier she beat GONZALEZ PODBICANIN Amelie Of Germany by going 2 up on 10 hole .
