Chelsea is all set to fight with Manchester City & Paris Saint-Germain for Nice’s midfielder Jean-Michael Seri.
According to The Sun, Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri is being looked by all the three clubs & it will be interesting to watch who will grab the £35m star in the transfer window.
After the 26-year-old’s Seri failed move to the LaLiga giants at the beginning of the season, it is believed that the Premier League is now the Ivorian’s preferred destination, with the Blues and the Chelsea showing interest.
The Ivory Coast international has three years left on his current deal with his French club, but with a £35 million (R595 million) buyout clause, he is seen by many as good value for money in today’s inflated market.
Seri has made 25 appearances for his club so far in this campaign, scoring one goal and assisting five further strikes.
Chelsea’s boss Antonio Conte is keen to add another mid-fielder in his team after he showed some interest in Alexis Sanchez too but it seems like Manchester United will sign the Arsenal star soon & Chelsea will look forward to sign Jean Michael from Nice as soon as possible.
Despite a somewhat flop show of Nice, Seri has maintained his level of performance & helped the Ligue 1 side qualify for the UEFA Champions League qualifying round this year.
Manchester City is also getting linked with former Barcelona Target Seri as Pep Guardiola is keen to target another world-class midfielder after Yaya Toure expected to leave the Etihad in this summer.
The all-action Nice star is regarded as one the biggest talents in Europe with moneybags PSG also chasing his signature.
However, Chelsea it has been suggested that Chelsea are the front-runners in this deal but it will be interesting to see if Nice will allow their African star to leave before the end of the season.
