KONSAM Ormila Devi gave a huge boost to Indian campaign At Asian Junior And Youth Weightlifting Championship with 3 gold medals .

She won Snatch Gold With the Lift of 55 kg , C&J (Clean & Jerk) gold with 72 kg lift and clinched the 3rd Gold too with Overall lift of 127 kg, which was the best among all the other weight lifters. Liu Hui Yu of Chinese Taipei won silver with 45 Snatch, 58 C&J and 103 Overall in Youth women 44 kg .

In youth championships, each category (Snatch, Clean & Jerk, Total) is awarded with different medal.

While another Indian DALABEHERA Jhilli participating in 48kg category finished at 5th position in Snatch, C&J & Total.  She lifted 69Kg in Snatch , 89 kg In clean And Jerk and hence end up with Total of 158 kg. Thailand Won 3 gold 2 Silver and 1 bronze in 69kg while Vietnam won 1 silver and 2 bronze on the opening day.

Thailand’s Teerapat Chomchuen set new world record in Youth men 50 kg .Chomchuen lifted 127kg weight in clean and jerk to set new mark in the youth category. He surpassed his own countrymen, Sinphet Kruaithong’s mark of 126kg lifted during the Asian Youth Championships in Thailand in 2011.
