REAL MADRID are set to open talks with Alexis Sanchez in January.
The Arsenal star’s contract runs out at the end of the season and he can leave on a free transfer.
Starsport revealed earlier this month that the Gunners would demand around £30m for the Chile international if he decides to leave in January.
And according to Spanish transfer outlet Don Balon, Real will open talks with Sanchez in January over a summer move.
The 28-year-old, who is also wanted by Manchester City, has impressed for the Gunners this season.
Don Balon add that Sanchez’s move to Real will then send Karim Benzema to the Emirates.
He also said that Gareth Bale could be used in any deal to bring Kane to the Bernabeu, with Tottenham keen to bring their former star back to north London.
That would leave Cristiano Ronaldo, Sanchez and Kane as Real’s front three from next season.
Sanchez is on the last year of his contract, and could leave Arsenal on a free transfer at the end of the season. The winger has reportedly grown frustrated with Arsenal’s inability to challenge for the Premier League and the Champions League and is looking to move to a club with whom he can win more trophies.
The Chilean has become one of Arsenal’s star players, often bailing them out of difficult positions with stellar individual performances. He has scored 75 goals in 155 matches for Arsenal and has won two FA Cups and a Community Shield.
Alexis Sanchez will probably be leaving Arsenal imminently unless the Gunners can mount a serious title challenge or win the Europa League. Real Madrid is as good a destination as any for the Chilean, but Arsenal are still holding on to the hope of getting Raheem Sterling in a swap deal, which would make Manchester City favourites in the race to sign Sanchez.
