Nuwan had already taken retirement from International T-20 carrier in 2017.

Australian team from the last decade not only command the Test and ODI formats but also overpower the shortest version of cricket. The Invincibles Australian cricket team holds the record for most numbers of matches played consecutively without being defeated. They were undefeated across 12 matches in the period between 30th August 2009 to 14th May 2010.

Afghanistan also hold the record for the most number of matches played consecutively without being defeated. The emerging nation Afghanistan was undefeated across 12 T20 matches during the period from 5 Feb 2018, to 15 Sep 2019. Afganistan winning streak was against Zimbabwe, Ireland and Bangladesh.
They also has 11 matches winning streak during the period from March 27th, 2016, to March 12th, 2017. Their most significant win during this period came against the West Indies team during the 2016 World T20.

McCullum enjoyed a red-hot streak from December 2008 to February 2009, when he registered consecutive scores of 59, 61, 56 not out and 69 not out. He punctuated his brilliance by scoring his maiden century in February 2010 (166 off 56 balls against Australia).
Chris Gayle needs no introduction in T20 cricket as he is widely regarded as one of the greatest T20 batsmen.
Gayle along with Brendon McCullum holds the record for scoring most consecutive fifties as they both have scored fifties across same no of innings. Gayle, in particular, played a big part in promoting the format. The West Indian smashed a scintillating 117 runs against South Africa in the opening match of the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007.

Former New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori holds the record for the best economy rate amongst bowlers in T20 International cricket. He played 34 T20I during his 7-year long career and took 38 wickets. He possessed an excellent career economy rate of 5.70. During his playing days, he was known for his economical bowling in the white-ball cricket.
Pakistani Imad Wasim currently holds the second position on this list. Wasim possesses an economy rate of 5.85 in T20 international cricket. Imad has so far played 38 matches in which he has taken 41 wickets.
