Michael a national level thrower and a coach from Peru With his ancestry from Germany has been working with Indian throwers from past 3 years. A friend of ex Indian coach late Garry Calvert.

Amentum : How it started

Musselmann started Facebook page Indian Javelin ( Indian Javelin FB page and Indian Javelin Insta page ), when Neeraj Chopra broke the national record in 2016. Today the page boasts a following of around 1 lakh followers across various social media platforms.

In 2018, Michael came along with Aditya Bhargava, an Indian expat from USA and Siddharth Patil, national tchoukball player and founder of CoachKhoj, to start Amentum Sports.

Currently, Amentum provide coaching services, world class equipments, social media platform for budding athletes and is developing grassroots in sport of javelin through its workshop and online training programs.

Amentum follows a world class system designed by input of top javelin experts around the world. It focuses on overall development of an athlete and its approach is to develop athlete in phases for future success.

The highlight of the program is that athlete remains injury free, develops right training basics and the it is available on tip of your finger (through online coaching).



Javelin Throwers

The success and effectiveness of this program can be understood by the fact that on 2nd November 2019 in junior nationals, out of 38 throwers participating 6 throwers are either trained or managed by Amentum Sports. The list of throwers contains

•Rohit Yadav: current number 1 under 19 in the world
•Shyam Khunt: Top 5 under 18 in the world
•Sudama Yadav: Khelo India bronze medalist
•Anand Singh: Top Bihar Javelin thrower
•Mohit Kumar: National junior gold medalist
•Akash Kumar Yadav: Gold medalist East zone.

This is a hard work of one year put together with world class system and passionate coach and athletes.

Amentum Moment

What a small startup like Amentum Sports has achieved in a short span of time with a miniscule budget can be a grassroot development model for bigger organizations.




The focus is not on the one-time performance but on the overall development of the athlete both physically and mentally.

Amentum has build some amazing case studies which can be used to bring laurels to the country with right support.
