Overall it proved out to be a good day for Indian archers as Divya Dhayal in Women Compound individual event & Women Compound team top the Qualifications at Archery Asia Cup.
Mukesh Boro finished the qualifications at 10th spot with 624 points on the board while Amit Yadav & Yashdev scored 617 points each to finish the qualifications at 17th & 18th place respectively. Kilenmeren got a 20th place with a poor 613 points.
10th seeded Mukesh will be up against 15th seeded Thailand archer while Amit Yadav got a BYE to the next round & will meet 16th seeded archer in the second round respectively.
Indian Recurve Team got a 4th seed & will be up against 5th seed Malaysia in the Quarter-finals.
It proved out to be a decent outing for Women recurve archers as Ankita Bhkata lead Indian way with 622 points to get a 10th spot in the qualifications. Madhu followed her at 11th place with 619 points.
Promila & Susmita finished at 13th & 21th place respectively.
4th seeded Women’s Recurve Team will take on 5th seed Japan with a Semi-Finals spot at stake.
Mayank Rawat proved to be the best Indian Compound male archer after finishing at 9th spot with 688 points. Aman Saini followed him at 12th position with 686 points.
Shivansh finished at 17th place while it proved to be a bad day for Ajay Sorout who finished second last in the qualifications with poor 657 points.
Indian Men’s Compound Team got a 5th seeding & will take on Australia who finished 4th in the qualifications.
Divya Dhayal was the star attraction for Indian archery team as she tops the qualifications with brilliant 667 points & also got a BYE to pre-quarterfinals. Purvasha finished 3th at the qualifications with 660 points & also got a BYE to next round.
Megha Agarwal & Muskan finished at 7th & 13th respectively.
Indian Women’s Compound Team got a no.1 seed & got a BYE in quarter-finals & will take on the winner between Thailand & Malaysia in semi-finals.
Surely Compound is the event where India will be eyeing many medals.
