Sixteen-time world champion Pankaj Advani defeated Sourav kothari by 6-3 in All Indian Final to life the Asian Billiards Championship in Chandigarh.
Advani was trailing by 3-1 in the first session of the game before interval but after coming out of the break it was Advani who was more composed then before & outplayed Kothari easily in the second interval .

Earlier, Pankaj had defeat Kothari in the group stage by 4-0 but in the final, it was totally a different picture, as Kothari was leading 3-1 till the interval & gave Sixteen-time World Champion a incredible fight before loosing 6-3.
Advani was left looking for answers to Kothari’s form in the first four frames. Kothari made breaks of 68, 100 and 99 to lead by two frames in session one.
Pankaj Advani opened the proceedings with breaks of 92, 102 and 81, not letting his opponent score a single point. After the 4-3 lead, he gave Kothari a chance to make a comeback but after being away from the table for over 25 minutes, he could only end the proceedings with thirty break which made Advani 7th time Asian Champion.
Advani will now switch to snooker before taking off for Doha to compete in the Asian Snooker Championship which begins on the April 22.
