Here is where Roger Federer will start his 2018 season!

We are only at the half of 2017, but it’s already known where and when Roger Federer will start his 2018 season which will be his 22nd year as professional tennis player. The world no. 5 will play Hopman Cup, which is scheduled to take place from 30 December to 6 June, for the second year in a row after that last January he teamed up with Belinda Bencic without being able to reach the final.

Both Federer and Bencic will team up again to try to win the title next year. ‘I’m very happy to be coming back to the Hopman Cup because I had the best time on and off the court,’ said Federer through a video.

‘The fans were absolutely amazing, there were I think about 6000 people at my first practice which I couldn’t believe, it was almost surreal walking in to the stadium.’ Federer and his family were very busy also off-court as they visited Rottnest Island and Swan Valley, and also Cottesloe Beach.

‘Off court we had a tonne of activities. My family and I had the best time. It was just a great, relaxing start to the year. Plus I played some really good tennis and I can’t wait to play again in Perth’, added Federer, who will play the exhibition team event for the fourth time in his career.’ ‘The Hopman Cup was amazing for me earlier this year, I enjoyed every second,’ Bencic said. ‘Playing with Roger was obviously a dream come true and I learned so much from him during that week on and off court.

The crowd was unreal too so I hope that everyone will come back again and support Switzerland.
