India End With 3 gold and 9 bronze at Asian Junior and Youth Weightlifting Championship taking place at Kathmandu

On Last day of Championship Lovepreet Singh won 3 bronze medal in 105 Kg . Lovepreet lifted 151 kg in snatch and 180 kgs in clean and jerk to clinch the bronze medal . In total, he lifted 331 kg. This is India 12th medal in the championships.

On the first day of championships, Konsam Ormila Devi had won three gold in 44 kg women youth category. Nirpupama Devi had won three bronze in 69 kg women youth category on Wednesday. Ajay Singh also won three bronze medal in 77 kg men junior category on Thursday

So India end 8th in Junior men category with 313 point awarded to 5 weightlifter . Iran top the junior men with 523 point who has 8 junior men participation . China and Uzbekistan end 2nd and 3rd with 482 (8) and 447 (8) respectively . In Junior Women Classification India End 5th with 295 point earned by 5 weightlifter . A team can total enter 8 weightlifter in each (junior / youth ) for both men and women .China finish on top with 568 (8) while Uzbekistan 2nd with 505 (8) and Thailand 3rd with 386 (5)
