Indian judokas gave incredible performance to bag 6 medals (Gold & 5 Bronze) at Asian Cadet-Junior Judo Championship being held in kyrgyzstan.
Tababi Devi who participated in women’s 44 kg event bag Gold for India defeating Otgonchimeg of Mongolia in the final. Simran in 40kg category had to settle for Bronze after she lost her semi-finals match.
The only medal for India in men’s category came through Paramjeet who clinched the Bronze in 90kg category after loosing his semis bout. Gold of this event went to Kazakhstan’s Bekarys while silver was grabbed by Sheng-Kai of Chinese Taipei.
Remaining players had pretty ordinary outing as they failed to make a mark for themselves at Asian Cadet Judo Championship.
Harshpreet Singh (81 kg) & Sanjay (+91 kg) failed to impress & finished at last position of their respective categories. In the women’s section Rubina Devi just missed out of the medal after finishing 7th in 52kg category while Rina Devi took 6th position in 48 kg category.
Madarahalli (63 kg) & Sanyogita (+70 kg) had a bad outing & finished last in their respective events.
Asian Junior Judo Championship
Indian junior judokas had a decent outing at the championship as they bag 3 Bronze to conclude their campaign.
Preety, Pincki Balhara & Tulika maan were the names who made the nation proud with their incredible performance.
