Lovlina Borgohain book third boxing Olympic quota for India as she advance to Semifinal of 69 kg weight catageory. She reach her Maiden Olympic game after defeating Maftunakhon Melieva of Uzbekistan by 5-0.

Two time world bronze medlist Lovlina was second seeded in her weight catageory and she don’t have any difficulty to go past her Mongolian opponent as she won by unanimous decision.

Lovlina came to this tournament to achieve her ultimate dream to represent the country at the Olympics and will end this tournament with her dream in her pocket.

Indian boxer start first round on good note, her Maximum punches connect the opponent but Mongolian came back in second round to give Lovline fight but her feet movement was quick enough to won the round by 4-1. Lovlina again show great feet movement in third round and won the match comfortable by 5-0.

22-years-Old from Assam has played two world championship so far and have won two bronze medals.She also had Asian Championship Silver medal in her name. She has also won gold at Magomed Salam Umakhanov Memorial International Tournament 2019 in Russia and 2018 India Open in New Delhi.

She bacame second women boxer to grab Olympic ticket after Pooja Rani who has earlier book Tokyo quota. With Lovlina Borgohain quota India telly has now reach 35 in 6 sports. She is 67 Indian so far to grab Olympic quota so far.

There are two more bout left for the day,Ashish will be up against Indonesian next in 75kg weight catageory while Satish will be last one among Indian to enter ring tonight.
