Manchester City spotters are keeping their eyes on Argentina Forward Lautaro Martinez as Spanish and Italian giants close in, too, on a £18 million deal in upcoming summer.
Spanish giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are reported to be in advanced talks for 20 years striker who is currently playing for home club "Racing Club".
Also, both Milan clubs are not ready to give up without a fight and now City closely observing the situation as Martinez confirms that he will be leaving Racing after this season.
Martínez who represented Argentina at the 2017 South American Youth Football Championship where he ended as the tournament's joint-top scorer with five goals, in the process helping Argentina qualify for the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He has been compared to Argentine legend Gabriel Batistuta but the hit-man sees himself as another version of Radamel Falcao.
Martínez followed in his father's footsteps to become a professional footballer, joining local side Liniers, with whom he excelled at U17 level.
In 2013, he scored 13 goals in the U17 league and netted in the final of the National Cup, He moved to Racing when he was 16 and also was subsequently named in the squad for the World Cup which kicked off in May that year.
Martinez rejected a loan move to Real two years ago and wouldn’t turn his back at this stage on a new venture in the Premier League.
