Former world Junior Champion Neeraj Chopra qualified for the Olympics as he finish on top of Podium with massive throw of 87.86m at a local competition in Potchefstroom.
This was Neeraj first Competition after September of 2018 as he suffered an elbow injury and needed surgery. Neeraj becomes fouth Indian Athlete to qualify for Olympics after Irfan Kolothum Thodi, Indian Mix Relay team and Avinash Sable. overall this is 31th Quota for India across six sports.

Neeraj register all four throw above 80m which indicate he has gained his old touch and is ready to give tough compitition at upcoming Olympic. Three of his throw was above 82m.
U18 national champion Rohit Yadav also throw decent 77.61m throw and won Silver medal.
Neeraj start his international compitition after 2 year with a 81.6m throw and keep improving in each throw.
He move to 82m in second followed by 82.57m in third by which he has confirm his gold medal as compitition was now tough.
But his eyes was on Olympic Qualification and on very next throw he came up with massive 87.86m which give him ticket to Tokyo Olympic.

Both Neeraj and Rohit have been training under coach Klaus, former coach of Boris Henry. And will continue to trail in South Africa. Now it will be interesting to see who will become second Indian to get Olympic ticket in Javelin.
