Manchester United & Manchester City will move head to head into the transfer market with Jose Mourinho likely to beat Pep Guardiola for Borussia Dortmund's midfielder Julian Weigl.
While Guardiola has always been a huge admirer of the £54 million (or €60 million) rated defensive minded midfielder, according to reports at the Independent ,United are in the forefront of the race with Henrikh Mkhitaryan the obvious makeweight in the deal, strengthening their hand as they can offer a cash + player deal to convince the German outfit.
The 22-year-old, Julian Weigl has been in fine form for Dortmund this season after returning from a fractured ankle in September, and has drawn admiring glances from clubs across Europe, including Manchester City.
Jose Mourinho's move to sign Julian is a justified one as the centre needs more stability as Weigl alongside Matic would form a perfectly solid platform upon which Paul Pogba can roam about and do his magic & with Mkhitaryan supposedly out-of-favour with the gaffer, this could just well be a win-win for the two clubs.

Whether the German Star move to Manchester City or Manchester United, it will be the win-win situation for the mid-fielder & no doubt he will be the one to watch when transfer window opens up.
