The new no. 1 Roger Federer will compete in lighter clay court tours in the coming months, so he can keep his body fit for upcoming summer’s bigger events.

Federer had already used same playing style in past year and successfully won Wimbledon and the Australian Open.

Talking about his upcoming tournament the 36-year-old will likely compete at Gerry Weber Open in Germany. Federer has already won the event nine times and will be battling out to defend his title.



“The tenth title in Halle would obviously be very fantastic, something very special and unique in my career,” he said during the Rotterdam Open.

The Swiss tennis ace has one of the largest followings in the world & the 36-year-old followed up the feat by regaining his spot at the top of the world rankings in Rotterdam last week.

“It’s always a great pleasure to come back to a site where I have great memories.he added

Federer is going to miss the Dubai Tennis Championships this week.

But the world No 1 will be back in action at the Indian Wells Masters in March. Also, he will decide whether he will play French Open or not in upcoming time.
