Flop show of Indian shooters continue at Day 3 of ISSF Shooting World Cup Munich, Germany .
Below average performance of Indian shooters is a concern for sporting fans as only one shooter out of 18 has been able to qualify for the final !!
In the previous edition of ISSF Shooting World Cup, which held in Delhi, India bagged 5 medals ( 1 Gold, 2 Silver & 3 Bronze) to finish at 5th position in medal tally. This time, the team is even fighting to grab a spot in the finals, medal is still a way to go in this World Cup !!
Jitu Rai, Gold medal winner of previous World Cup & one of the most decorated Shooter in India is still finding his form as he finished at low 32nd position in the qualifications of 50m Pistol Event with a score of 551 points.
He still have a chance to prove his excellency in 10m Air Pistol event which is scheduled on 22nd May, Monday. Jitu will be accompanied by Anmol & Nanjappa Prakash in the same event.
Ravi kumar is the lone Indian who qualified for the finals in 10m Air Rifle event & missed out of an medal by finishing at 5th position.
Apart from Jitu Rai, Heena Sidhu will carry the Indian hopes too in 10m Air Pistol Event which is scheduled on May 23, Tuesday. Former World No.1 Heena Sidhu is in some promising form & can be a medal contender on a given day.
Chain Singh, National Holder in 50m Rifle 3 positions is a strong contender for a medal too.
