Indian shuttler PV Sindhu survived a scare in her second round match against local shuttler Aya Ohori in the, BWF Super 750 tournament .
PV Sindhu, who had finished runner-up at Indonesia Open Super 1000 tournament last week, lost the opening game to unseeded Aya Ohori 21-11 before making a strong comeback to take the match 11-21, 21-10, 21-13 in 61 minutes.
Sindhu had been struggling for form early in the season but the World No. 5 has looked in fine form since returning from nearly a 2-month break for Indonesia Open.PV Sindhu was stopped in the final of the Super 1000 tournament in Jakarta by Akane Yamaguch.
PV Sindhu has an opportunity to avenge the Indonesia open defeat as she take on 4th seed Yamaguchi in Friday’s quarter-final at Japan Open.

While, World No. 23 B Sai Praneeth continued his good run with a comfortable straight-game (21-13,21-16 in just 45 mins )win over local shuttler Kanta Tsuneyama. The Indian shuttler ,who outclassed world no.11 Kenta Nishimoto on 1st round will take on Indonesia’s Tommy Sugiarto(world no.18) in the quarter-final.
In men’s doubles , the Indian duo of Satwiksairaj Rankir and Chirag Shetty made a determine comeback to wrap the game China’s Huang Kai Xiang and Liu Chen 15-21, 21-11,21-19 to reach the quarterfinals.
