Indian basketball team is in no mood to stop as they continue to win their 2nd game against Sri Lanka in South Asian Basketball Championship.
Indian team is playing extremely well and working hard for winning the tournament for the fifth time. As in their 1st match they dominated Maldives by 84-42 and now in the second match against Sri Lanka they won by scoring 88 points against Sri Lanka’s 61.
In the first quarter it was a close affair as Indian team scored 23 points with conceding 17 points. As the match proceeded the teams get warmed up and in the 2nd quarter Indian just conceded 17 points but scored lightning fast 37 points to end the 2nd quarter with 50-34.
Indian team didn’t look back after the 2nd as they went on to score 26 points and Sri Lanka scored 23points they tried to come back but Indian lead was big enough to help them win the 3rd quarter by 76-57.
In 4th and final quarter of the match, Indians didn’t give many chances to score and kept their defense strong as Sri Lanka could just score 3 points. Indians extended their lead to 88 after scoring 12 more points in the last quarter and sealing the win.
Amritpal Singh was declared player of the match for the second straight time.
India will now face another challenger Bangladesh next on 22nd May, while Sri Lanka takes on Nepal.
